Jamaica Coronavirus (COVID-19) update with statistics and graphs: total confirmed cases, deaths and recovered.

The 2020 coronavirus pandemic in Jamaica is part of an ongoing global pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), an infectious disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2).

Data below may not reflect the most recent statistics as Jamaica’s Ministry of Health and Wellness updates information on an hourly basis. 

Other costs covered, as I noted in my Sectoral Presentation on Tuesday, include the retrofitting of facilities to quarantine and/or isolate and care for persons who are suspected or confirmed to have COVID-19.

• The procurement of more than $500 million in prescription drugs through the National Health Fund, to ensure the effective treatment of the symptoms of persons with COVID-19.

• The provision of medical equipment, such as personal protective gear and COVID-19 test kits, to the tune of more than $1.7 billion

• Infrastructure upgrade to the tune of more than $89 million, including equipping hospitals with an additional 63 intensive care and high dependency units.
