62-Year Old Hotel Co-Owner Vanishes in Tobago

(Trinidad Daily Express) The family of Koongebeharry Jaisarie is requesting help locating the 62-year-old who was last seen in Tobago on Thursday of last week.

Brother Bobby Jaisarie, told the Express on Monday that Koongebeharry is a well-known businessman in Carenage, owner of multiple businesses including car parts and repair shops, apartment buildings and other ventures.

As part owner of the Easy Breezy Hotel, which is currently under construction in Canaan, Tobago, he left Trinidad on Thursday morning to attend to some related business at the hotel. He was expected to return on Thursday evening. However, after four days without hearing from Jaisaree, the family is worried about his safety.

“He is part owner of the hotel so he went there to pay workers and sort out things.

He went on Thursday morning and he told his daughter that he would be back in the evening. We know that he landed and met with an insurance broker there and was at the hotel. But he is not there currently and we haven’t heard from him. It is very unlike him,” said Jaisarie.

Jaisarie said that Koongebeharry was often in contact with his daughter who is currently out of the country. Concern grew as multiple missed calls went unreturned over the weekend and the police were contacted. Checks at the hotel were conducted over the weekend by police but to no avail.

Jaisarie is said to be of Indian descent, slim built and tall. Persons with information can contact 383 4871, 785 0327 or 750 6820 or the TTPS.
