Meet The Woman Who Is Helping Stranded Guyanese To Return Home

The number of persons dying from COVID-19 in the United States continues to rise. The number of Guyanese families affected almost equals that of other West Indian communities such as Trinidad and Jamaica.

On the other hands, hundreds of Guyanese, stranded in the United States because of COVID-19 restrictions, are seeking to return home. An estimated 300 persons have been approved to return, but the Guyana Consulate in New York has over 100 further requests. Jennifer Ganesh-Jabbar has been speaking with the Consul General Barbara Atherly.
